I am very excited to announce that my new book, “Born to Make Lemonade,” has just been published and is now available on Lulu.com.
“Born to Make Lemonade” is about my mother, Anne Goldberg Gilbert, who was born in 1908 and died at age ninety-five in 2003. Anne was the child of Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire who, like so many others, came to America in the late nineteenth century seeking freedom from oppression and craving a far better way of life. Anne, the third youngest of eleven children, was uncared for by her mother, who, behaved erratically at times. In spite of this difficult childhood, Anne’s positive, problem-solving qualities carried her into adulthood creating a stable life for herself and her family, and providing comfort for many people who turned to her for compassionate, steadfast support.

Incredible! I finished the book. There was so much I wasn’t aware of. I want to reread it before we “discuss “
